We’ve all heard the term “battling cancer” whether related to a loved one, friend or neighbor. If you’ve had the unfortunate experience of facing this battle personally or while helping another, you know that this term exists because cancer is an all-out assault on every aspect of a patient’s life. Beyond the physical challenges, patients often face job loss, inability to pay bills and difficulty caring for their families. A strong support system can make all the difference in easing these stresses throughout the treatment process.
The Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund (CCF) was formed in 1999 to build a support system specifically for residents of Kosciusko County diagnosed with cancer and in financial need. Our volunteer founders had a simple mission - to reduce the challenges facing cancer patients and their families by financially assisting them during their fight.
Today, our Cancer Care Fund committee organizes a variety of fundraising events to further this mission including:Spring Fashion Show
Summer Cocktail Party
Auction and Dinner Dance
Glow Golf Tournament
5K Halloween Race
In addition, private personal donations are made and many service clubs, students, individuals, and businesses donate money from independently organized fundraisers to the CCF for distribution.
Over the past 20 years, well over $2 Million has been raised to help the people of Kosciusko County as they fought their cancer battles. In 2022 alone, we raised $140,060 to support 68 patients with the following:
